This professional development session will engage participants in a round table discussion of the challenges, problems, and strategic solutions related to the invisible work of museum computing. Drawing upon preliminary results from 50 oral histories conducted in spring 2021 with museum tech professionals, this session will explore the invisibility of museum tech projects, and examine the wide-ranging responsibilities of museum tech professionals that take place behind-the-scenes in museums.
