In late summer of 2020, a small group of MASS Action members began analyzing BLM statements put out by museums. This session will give an overview of the data and the difficulties in analyzing public statements that were placed on museums' websites and social media. Panelists will also address how this data can be used to empower museum workers and the general public, and the ways museums have (or have not) carried their public commitments forward on readily accessible platforms.
