Contact Me

I am a design researcher, and digital strategist, who collaborates with innovative and cross disciplinary teams to humanize services, experiences, and products, and design for good. I have 15 years of experience in the public sector as a digital lead for museums. Prior to IDEO, I was with Doblin, Fjord, where I co-founded and co-led its global social innovation community of practice, and Razorfish.

I was the first Chief of Web and New Media Initiatives at the National Gallery of Art, in Washington D.C. The position was created to expand digital engagement, and lead its first enterprise level website redesign and institutional digital transformation.

Prior to that, I was at the Smithsonian Institution for 10 years. While there, led major website redesigns and digital initiatives, including SmithsonianEducation.org, the first Smithsonian Kids website, SmithsonianJazz.org, and Eyelevel.si.edu the Smithsonian’s first blog. I worked cross museums and agencies, to find new ways to leverage design and technology to inclusively engage existing visitors and attract new ones.

My work and projects have garnered a Peabody Award, 2 Webby Awards, Webby Honors, Web Marketing Awards, Muse Awards, a Fjord Innovation Fund Award, an IDEO Inspiring Research Studio Award, and has been featured in STEP Magazine’s Top 100, US News and World Report, USA Today, Washington Post, Policy & Practice, The Journal of American Public Human Services Association, GovTech and Adweek.
